Join us for our second annual Girl Powered Robotics event in partnership with the REC Foundation and VEX Robotics. The Girl Powered initiative engages and informs young women about STEM and robotics opportunities available to them. Volunteers are requested to support event check-in and facilitate basic hands-on STEM activities such as lava lamp design, making gooey gak slime, simple circuitry building, catapult construction, and creative engineering. Volunteers will enjoy cheering on participants as they design obstacle courses for robot racing while coding their robots to move, make sound, flash lights, and respond to voice commands!
