Brief description of volunteer service: Dress for Success (DFS) Southern Nevada, holds 'Shop for Success’ inventory reduction events throughout the year to push out excess inventory, and make room at our boutique for in-season professional attire for our clients and to raise critical dollars needed for career & workforce development support. This Shop for Success event comes at a time when more women find themselves unemployed during the COVID-19 pandemic, putting the women we serve on shaky ground professionally and personally. We are coming together as a community with this fun shopping event to help offset some of the hardship women are facing in Southern Nevada today. Your support will help provide much needed assistance to unemployed, underemployed, economically disadvantaged women. We need volunteers for our event on Saturday April 2nd where our community will Shop for Success and give back to women in need. Duration of this service opportunity: One Day only 04/02/2022 for a couple of hours, based on shift availability. Volunteer Role/Shifts: We have the following volunteer positions available for 04/02/2022: Event Set-Up Team, Greeters, Cashiers (credit card transactions only), Main - Warehouse and Fashion Finds Sale Team, Directional Traffic Team, guide guest towards parking and event and Break-Down team. Deadline: Please try and confirm volunteer shift by Thursday March 31 - 03/31/2022, to attend virtual orientation on Friday, prior to date of event.
