Hello! Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at the Las Vegas Science and Natural History Museum during our Special Event - MineFest: The Block Party!
Volunteers will help create a fun and engaging experience for guests during our Minecraft-inspired museum event featuring interactive games, hands-on activities, and creative gallery experiences.
Responsibilities include:
-Welcoming visitors and responding to questions about the museum, galleries, and exhibits
-Assisting guests with event activities and helping ensure a positive experience for all ages
-Informing visitors about upcoming museum events and programs
-Monitoring gallery spaces and helping keep activity areas clean and safe, especially around sandbox displays that may present slipping or tripping hazards
-Reporting damages, safety concerns, or other issues to museum staff promptly
-Supporting museum staff with general event operations as needed (i.e. Activity Tables).
If you wish to work more than 3 hours, you will be scheduled for a 30-minute lunch break. We have a break room with a refrigerator to store your lunch in. If you would like to take your break with someone on your team, please indicate that in the notes section of the sign-up.
