Job Description: We seek a dynamic Athletics Director, Basketball - Volunteer to join our team. This individual will oversee our basketball-centric programs' strategic planning, development, and implementation, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with our technology and education initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning and implementation of basketball-centric programs that weave together our focus on sports, technology, and education.
Collaborate with program leaders to ensure an integrated approach to our curriculum, blending sports, technology, and education effectively
Engage with community members and partners to identify needs, solicit feedback, and build supportive relationships
Recruit, support, and oversee coaching staff and program volunteers to ensure consistency and quality in program delivery
Please make sure all basketball-related initiatives align with the organization’s strategic goals and support our overarching mission
Utilize personal networks and connections to create partnerships and secure resources in support of Dunk4Dreams initiatives
Qualifications:
Extensive experience and understanding of the sport of basketball, preferably in a leadership or administrative capacity
Solid knowledge and passion for leveraging technology and education in a sports context
Demonstrated leadership skills with a knack for strategic thinking and planning
Proven track record in community engagement and relationship-building
A solid commitment to our mission and advancing opportunities for underserved youth
