VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Position Overview

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the processing, selection, training, scheduling and care of Refuge volunteers. 

 

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Volunteer Coordinator Binder to direct volunteer activities
  • Receive, assess and process each volunteer application, including interview and background check
  • Maintain volunteer onboarding, training and time served records
  • Care for volunteers through appreciation and communication
  • Work with Program Director or Program Director Assistant to schedule in house volunteers and track hours
  • Work with Executive Director to recruit volunteers as needed for projects
  • Gather volunteer timesheets monthly for required reports

  • Strong servant leadership and teamwork skills
  • Flexible, self-motivated, organized

 

Qualifications

  • Able to use Google docs, Excel, Word
  • Some previous ministry or HR experience helpful
