Children's Advocacy Center

Who We Are

Established in 2016, the Children’s Advocacy Center d/b/a Children's Advocacy Center Foundation (CACF) is dedicated to serving the needs of child abuse victims and their families.

Through our service agreement with Clark County, the CACF provides supportive services to the children and families seen at the Southern Nevada Children’s Advocacy Center (SNCAC).  Operated by Clark County, the SNCAC is part of a national movement of child advocacy centers that use a multi-disciplinary team approach in the prevention, assessment, investigation, and treatment of suspected cases of child sex abuse, sexual exploitation, and severe neglect. The team of dedicated professionals at the SNCAC engage in forensic interviewing services, child protective services, law enforcement, case management, victim and family advocacy, medical exams, and mental health services. On site agencies partners include child protective services, law enforcement, forensic interviewers, medical and mental health personnel, SNCAC staff members, family advocates, and the CACF.

Together, the CACF and SNCAC work tirelessly to address the unique needs of the children and families they serve, ensuring a cohesive and impactful response to child abuse—one that is centered around the core principles of One Place, One Voice, One Response!

What We Do

The CACF has successfully implemented several programs designed to directly benefit children who have been abused. These include the Vegas Heals program, which provides critical mental healthcare to families that could not afford them, and the Community Closet and Food Pantry program, which provides essential necessities to help children and families distance themselves from their abusers.

In our ongoing efforts to support survivors of abuse, the CACF launched Camp Thrive Las Vegas in the summer of 2024. To be held each year, this unique summer camp experience combines traditional camp activities with group therapy sessions tailored to children who have survived sexual abuse. Camp Thrive Las Vegas aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for healing and growth.

In addition to the programs described above, the CACF also hosts annual back-to-school backpack and school supply and holiday children’s stocking drives, all of which support the children and families we serve.
