In May 2023, World Peace Farmer, Mahatma Gandhi's 5th grandson Arun Gandhi made his grand transition. In his honor Ahimsa Peace Institute (API) dba of the Nevada based organization Gandhi Worldwide Education Institute (GWEI) was established in and will preserve and continue to support his legacy work.
Gandhi Worldwide Education Institute, dba Ahimsa Peace Institute holds the exclusive North American rights for the award winning documentary film Ahimsa Gandhi: The Power of the Powerless that is scheduled to be screened at UNLV the evening of October 1, 2023. UNLV is hosting the first screening in the state of Nevada.
GWEI has been in Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since July 23, 2015. Lynnea Bylund is the UN EcoSoc representative for the organization.
