Protectors of Tule Springs

Did you know that there is a treasure-trove of Ice Age fossils right here in the Las Vegas Valley?

Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument (TUSK) and Nevada's Ice Age Fossils State Park are both located in the northern part of the Valley.

Protectors of Tule Springs is the official support partner for both of these parks.   

Our mission is:

Protecting, preserving, supporting, and promoting responsible stewardship of TUSK and the Ice Age Fossils State Park.

How our volunteers help the parks:

• Leading guided interpretive hikes
• Organizing Clean-ups on park land
• Trail-building and monitoring
• Visitor Center volunteers
• B.A.R.K. Ranger program
• Mounted Horse Patrol
• Educational outreach (Classroom and community presentations)
• Scientific assistance
