FIRST Nevada

FIRST Nevada is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting FIRST® robotics programs and STEAM education initiatives throughout the state of Nevada. Our Mission is: To inspire young people to become science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. A wide range of opportunities are available to make a positive impact on youth who are enrolled in our fun, hands-on robotics programs for PreK-12th grade. You can serve as a mentor for a local robotics team or volunteer at various competitions throughout the season (September through April).

FIRST Nevada coordinates a wide range of STEM related activities to engage youth and cultivate interest in STEAM. This includes providing actual hands-on experiences which put into practice what students learn in the classroom, making learning relevant. Additionally, we coordinate a full season of Robotics Competitions throughout the state of Nevada for PreK-12th grade students who compete in different divisions (FIRST® LEGO® League, FIRST® Tech Challenge, and FIRST® Robotics Competition).
