Who We Are
In 1986 parents of children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities(IDD) created an environment, that was conducive to their children being able to live active, happy, fulfilling lives. This was done by creating an atmosphere of love, competent care, and family. For 35 years, New Vista has been providing loving, safe, and carefully tailored residential services that welcome people of all ages with IDD. New Vista's overall programming focuses on the goal of independence, and the agency's comprehensive approach includes:
• Residential Services • Life Skills Training
• In-Home Supports • Youth Programs
• Group Recreation • Respite Program
• Social Skills Training • Job Development & Work Experience
• Self-advocacy
What We Do
Our mission is to provide people of all ages with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, with equal opportunities and supported living arrangements so that they may experience life to the fullest. In doing so, we support over 22 homes and more than 100 individuals within our organization. We also have our New Vista Job & Day Training program(JDT) that we are excited about! New Vista is dedicated to erasing the stigma of work sites for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We not only believe in their abilities to work in the community but support our members by doing so at a competitive wage. It is our mission to help the community believe as well. By teaching our participants the skills necessary to obtain and maintain competitive wage employment, they will be able to show their abilities and what they can do to contribute to their community. We continue to break down the barriers and provide more opportunities for the IDD population. We hope this is something you’d like to be a part of.
