| Volunteer: Chalk Outlines with PedSafe, supported by MADDWe will gather in the parking lot of the Government Center to break into groups and head out to specific locations and place chalk outlines where pedestrians died in 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025.Teams will be assigned neighborhoods with specific locations and each team will chalk an outline in the far right lane, where a pedestrian was hit and killed. Each team will have 3 members who will go out in one vehicle and have a large support vehicle- either a fire truck, ambulance, or public works truck that will block traffic to complete the outline and assist with keeping everyone safe during the project completion. Either you can select a driver from your group, or there may be the option for some groups to ride in the support vehicle. If you are comfortable with driving, please let the volunteer contact know when they reach out to you. PedSafe did this 8 years ago and it made a HUGE impact. 89 outlines were chalked and people talked about it for months. We received international media on it and the reach was really amazing and we are hoping to have an even larger impact this time.
