Volunteer Opportunities From: United Way of Southern Nevada Volunteer Connect

Starting this fall, Boys Town Nevada will be hosting monthly meetings for anyone interested in joining our inaugural volunteer development committee. We are looking for any member of the community that is interested in donating their time and/or talent to help with planning, coordinating, and executing our events and fundraising efforts. Here are some of the expectations for the committee opportunity: Monthly, in-person/virtual planning meetings, planning assistance with Festival of Hope, Top Golf Tournament, and Back-to-School Bash, outreach support with volunteer coordinator for listed events.

2-3 hours a month commitment (including meeting and assigned tasks outside of meeting); Meeting time: 4PM-5PM (in office) or 5:30PM-6:30PM (off-site). In-person for meetings, virtual opportunities available for some meetings.

Boys Town Nevada also welcomes volunteers to partner with them to give back to the community and assist children and families in need through the following volunteer activities:

Adopt-a-Family (year-round): Many of the families they serve need basic necessities like clean clothing, toiletries, food, cleaning supplies, and baby items like diapers and baby wipes. They are also in need of bus passes.

Volunteers can "adopt" a family working toward their goals by donating any of these items throughout the year.

Boys Town Nevada welcomes volunteers to partner with them to give back to the community and assist children and families in need through the following volunteer activities:

Family Fun Toy Drive (year-round): Having fun together creates a positive family environment. But for families who are struggling to meet their basic needs, it is hard to spend money on items like games, books, and sporting equipment.

Volunteers can help these families achieve their goals by hosting a "family fun" toy drive among co-workers, church congregation, or neighbors and friends.
