VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Position Overview

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the processing, selection, training, scheduling and care of Refuge volunteers. 

 

Summary of Responsibilities

Utilize the Volunteer Coordinator Binder to direct volunteer activities Receive, assess and process each volunteer application, including interview and background check Maintain volunteer onboarding, training and time served records Care for volunteers through appreciation and communication Work with Program Director or Program Director Assistant to schedule in house volunteers and track hours Work with Executive Director to recruit volunteers as needed for projects Gather volunteer timesheets monthly for required reports

 

Skills and Expectations

Strong written and verbal communications skills Strong servant leadership and teamwork skills Flexible, self-motivated, organized

 

Qualifications

Able to use Google docs, Excel, Word Some previous ministry or HR experience helpful
