The Las Vegas Sassy Seniors is partnering with TOYS 4 DOGS are looking for volunteers to hand make dog toys and collect donations that will be donated to local animal shelters! Please come and help us break our record from last year and lets make a difference in our community together! If you can, bring flannel fabric or t-shirts you no longer wear to make the dog toys (we will also have supplies there) and if you are able to bring a donation of animal supplies that would be appreciated. This could be any dog/cat/bird food, toys, creamy peanut butter, newspapers, cleaning supplies, towels, wash clothes, small blankets, poddy pads, new leashes/collars, and lots of treats, etc. This is a really easy and fun activity, we need people to cut the fabric and lots of people to braid the fabric into dog toys! We will have light refreshments and raffle baskets! Invite your friends and bring your company's volunteer team!!!

Volunteers assist with down-stacking pallets of food, and distributing those items to our drive thru and walk-up clients. Volunteers may also assist with digital client check in and traffic control.

Must be over the age of 16 to volunteer by yourself, 15 and under you must be accompanied by an adult.

Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes, sunglasses, hats and sunscreen, as you will be outside for the duration of the event.

Report directly to Mater Academy Mountain Vista- 3445 S Mountain Vista St, Las Vegas, NV 89121. Staff will be onsite with the food pallets prior to your arrival, so it will be clear where to report when you pull up.

Join Schools for Scholars in making a meaningful impact by volunteering for Shoes For Scholars 2nd Annual 5K Run & Walk Event! As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive, energetic atmosphere—whether it’s assisting with registration, cheering on participants, handing out water, or helping at the finish line. Come be part of a rewarding experience that combines fitness, community spirit, and a great cause!

Please join The Wellness Box Foundation for a packing party for UWSN Day of Caring! We will pack hygiene bags with maxipas, hygiene products to distribute throughout the LV community. 

Laura Dearing Elementary School volunteers will have the opportunity to read to their elementary school students in the classroom at their elementary school. Books should be appropriate and relevant to the grade level (Pre-K through 5th grade) and volunteers will have the opportunity to read a maximum of 3 books to the students/class.

Help Lighthouse Charities get some fresh air and your hands in the dirt at their beautiful two-acre garden, a workforce training farm that benefits refugees and others experiencing food insecurity. Tasks can include harvesting, planting, weeding, caring for our chickens, and other projects.

Help sort, cut, and/or sew donated hotel linens that will be repurposed into rags that resorts and hotels buy back for their cleaning crews. This program provides workforce training and income for refugees learning English.

Volunteers will assist our warehouse team by boxing and sorting books by grade level to help prepare them for distribution to underserved schools. This project plays a vital role in ensuring books are organized and ready to reach children who need them most. Perfect for groups and individuals, we have two shifts available.

All supplies and instructions will be provided on-site.

Join Habitat for Humanity's ReStore team and help make a lasting impact in our community! ReStore volunteers support the daily operations of our nonprofit home improvement store by assisting with customer service, organizing merchandise, processing donations, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Help the LGBTQ Community Center of Southern Nevada assemble wellness kits for the community at large.

Help Don and Dee Snyder Elementary School clean up their campus! Volunteers are expected to help with weeding, trash pick up, and general tidying up.

Assist Warren Elementary School level their classroom books to help encourage reading growth.

The books will be sorted by grade. Please bring a smart phone, laptop, or tablet to look up the book's title and its appropriate grade level.

Write and mail friendly, conversational letters to senior citizens in aged care homes and senior programs. Letters are handwritten and conversational - ABOUT YOU! - like what you'd write to a friend or relative rather than generic messages you'd find in a greeting card!

Join NPHY for a day of service as we prepare for the upcoming holiday season! We are hoping to find volunteers to help upgrade our patio space by painting interactive designs that our students can enjoy.

Book Preps make children feel special by cleaning and repairing gently used books that Spread the Word Nevada distributes every month to underserved schools. Thousands of children don't have books of their own, and we need volunteers to ensure books get into their hands. Perfect for groups and individuals, we have two shifts to choose from.

Volunteer with United Way of Southern Nevada to count, sort, and inventory school supplies from our Operation Back to School Drive! Join us as we ensure students receive the supplies they need to start off the school year successful and the proper resources.

Volunteers will also be writing good luck cards to students to wish them good luck on the new school year.

UWSN is looking for volunteers to assist with building 2,500 tote bags for the upcoming Project REACH Senior Expos! These totes will contain several pieces of paper, a snack, and other potential swag items for the seniors attending our Project REACH Senior Expos.

Gear up with your fellow trainers and discover new creatures in your community! Learn about the real animals that inspired your favorite characters and explore the amazing world of natural history. This volunteer opportunity will need YOU to help with activity tables, interacting with guests, and assisting museum staff with any event needs.

Dressing up is highly recommended, please keep it family friendly and appropriate.

Junior Volunteers (14-15 years of age) are welcome with an adult or guardian present. Drop offs are not allowed. If you need hours for a school program, this can fulfill those.

The Museum transforms to host some spooky fun! We are looking for individuals ready to help run activity tables, answer guest questions and help with crowd control. Team sign ups encouraged as we would love to put teams, organizations and businesses at specific tables. What better way to show off your team spirit to our guests while helping them learn a little about natural history and S.T.E.A.M.

There may be some light setup duties, decorating, cleaning, and sanitizing before the event. There may be some heavy lifting, moving items from room to room, bending over to pick up light to heavy objects, and light housekeeping (sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting)

If you wish to work more than 3 hours, you will be scheduled for a 30-minute lunch break. We have a break room with a refrigerator to store your lunch in. If you would like to take your break with someone on your team, please indicate that in the notes section of the sign-up.

Once you have signed up, I will need to know if you cannot attend your shift. Please email me as soon as you can to let me know of any changes to your availability.

Shifts start as early as 9:00 AM (set up) and go as long as 4:30 PM (clean up) on Friday, October 30, 2026. Please indicate in the notes section how long of a shift you wish to be scheduled for. It is not required to stay the whole day, but if you would like to complete a full shift, please keep the volunteer coordinator updated to schedule breaks and lunches.

We need your help to keep great books accessible to communities 24/7. Visit Little Free Libraries in your community to distribute books! 

We can suggest where to look for free or inexpensive books, or if you already have some, you can share those too. You can find book-sharing boxes near you using our world map or free mobile app. Volunteers over 18 anywhere in the U.S. where there are Little Free Libraries can register for this opportunity. 

Register on our website to get started. If it's your first time signing up with Team LFL, you will be prompted to create an account in our volunteer hub. Once you sign up, you will get access to tips & resources that you review independently online. Our Little Free Library staff can answer your questions by email. You can share books whenever it works for you.  

This is a great opportunity for solo volunteers looking for something flexible to fit their schedule, or for parents looking for a volunteer activity they can do with kids.

Communities are hungry for books! Help Little Free Library fulfill its mission of book access for everyone by coordinating a local book drive. This is a flexible volunteer opportunity. You can coordinate your book drive during the times that work best for you and your community. Volunteers over 18 anywhere in the U.S. where there are Little Free Libraries can register for this opportunity.

How to get started: Register on our website. If it's your first time volunteering with Team LFL, you will be asked to create an account in our volunteer hub. After you register, we will send you a guide about how to coordinate a book drive. Then, staff will check in with you by email to offer support for your book drive planning.

Creating a Giving Culture LV is looking to leading a citywide, youth day of remembrance, bringing together local K through 12 students across Las Vegas to honor the lives lost recognize our heroes and ensure this moment is never forgotten.

At the heart of this project will be a powerful, never forget remembrance wall created by students and filled with messages of gratitude and reflection.

HOW CAN YOU HELP AND GET INVOLVED

Schools, Teachers, Churches and Clubs:

We are looking to collect 4x6 cards please have the students write 1 or 2 sentences answering “ Why is it important to remember 9-11”  or ‘“How can our generation continue to honor those we lost?” Students can also add a drawing and on the bottom, please write their name and grade.

We are looking to have K through 12 schools do one video with the entire school saying “WE WILL NEVER FORGET “this videos will be put together and played at the event.

JA Inspire Nevada is a statewide career fair held at UNLV that is designed to help over 1,000 students from schools throughout the area ages 13–25 discover their future. This event allows students to connect with local businesses, participate in interactive exhibits, and explore career pathways. Balikbayan Bots is a Las Vegas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to cultivating the next generation of diverse STEM leaders through high-intensity engineering mentorship. Founded on the Filipino principle of balikbayan: the commitment to return home and uplift one’s community. We operate as a professional-grade engineering incubator for students in grades 8–12.

Rather than focusing solely on competition, our primary objective is to equip students with the technical mastery, project management experience, and professional literacy required to excel in university-level STEM programs and the global workforce. Balikbayan Bots is a Las Vegas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to cultivating the next generation of diverse STEM leaders through high-intensity engineering mentorship. Our Laundry Assistants help ensure animals have clean bedding, towels, and blankets every day. Volunteers assist with sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry while helping maintain a clean and efficient workspace. This role is perfect for volunteers who enjoy staying active, working independently, and making a direct impact on animal care. We are launching our ”Because Every Child Deserves a Birthday” Hospice program. We are partnering to support 147 pediatric hospice patients, many of who have developmental delays and complex medical needs.

No parents should have to walk this journey, and no child should ever feel forgotten on their birthday During such an incredibly difficult time for families, we hope to bring moments of love, comfort, in a bit of joy when it’s needed the most.

To ensure each child feels celebrated on their birthday, we are helping provide sensory based birthday gifts that bring comfort, joy, and meaningful engagement. 

We are currently collecting light up toys, musical toys, soft, stuffed animals, soft blankets, sensory, and fidget toys, coloring books, stuffed animals that can record voices. Anything that you would like to include in a thoughtful birthday basket for a hospital child in their family is deeply appreciated.

If you would like to sponsor a birthday or donate items, please reach out. This project is led by youth who believe kindness has no age limit, and that every child deserve to be seen celebrated and loved, and no family should be alone during this difficult time.

The Animal foundation needs volunteers to walk and socialize our dogs to give them the best chances of finding thier forever home.

Basic orientation training is required, as well as additional dog handling training to ensure the safety of everyone, including the dogs in our care.

Donate Soft Easter Bunnies for Children in Hospice Care

Creating a Giving Culture LV is collecting new, soft Easter bunnies to bring comfort, warmth, and love to children receiving hospice care this Easter season.

We did this project a few years ago, and the response from the children and their families was unforgettable. Something as simple as a soft bunny brought smiles, quiet comfort, and moments of peace during an incredibly difficult time. The gratitude and emotion from families truly melted our hearts and stayed with us long after Easter ended.

Some children may not be able to celebrate Easter in the ways we often take for granted, but they can still feel remembered, cared for, and surrounded by kindness. A soft bunny becomes something they can hold onto during moments when comfort matters most.

We are inviting individuals, families, schools, churches, clubs, workplaces, and community groups to donate new, soft plush Easter bunnies. All donations will be thoughtfully delivered to children in hospice care.

Creating a Giving Culture LV is collecting American flags to support local veterans memorial efforts and remembrance events.

Each year, volunteers and community members come together to honor veterans by placing American flags in remembrance of their service and sacrifice. As this meaningful effort continues to grow, we are seeking donations of American flags to ensure every veteran is honored with dignity and respect.

We are currently accepting donations of 8 x 12 inch American flags on wooden sticks. Flags may be new or gently used and will be handled with care throughout the memorial process.

This opportunity is family friendly and open to individuals, schools, faith based organizations, community groups, and businesses who wish to support veterans in a meaningful way.

As a Crisis Response Advocate, you will have the opportunity to:

Book Preps make children feel special by cleaning and repairing gently used books that Spread the Word Nevada distributes every month to underserved schools. Thousands of children don't have books of their own and we need volunteers to ensure books get into their hands.

Perfect for groups and individuals, book preps are offered at various days and times each week. All supplies and instructions will be given onsite.

Get involved with Tech Impact by volunteering within one of the following roles!

PROFESSIONAL/SOFT SKILLS TRAININGS: Every Friday, corporate volunteers present professional skills training using a curriculum developed by Accenture. Topics include Resume Writing, Interviewing, Leadership, Time Management, Professionalism, and Financial Management. Each session is two 2.5-hour sections (5 hours total), and 2-4 volunteers lead each Friday session. 

MENTORING: Each student is assigned a mentor, typically an IT professional. Our mentors commit about one hour per week to the program. 

LUNCH & LEARN VISITS: We encourage local technology executives, recruiters, and other partners to spend the lunch hour with our students to talk about their career path and engage with the students. 

HOSTING ITWORKS INTERNS: Corporations and nonprofits provide 5-week (minimum) IT internships (24 hours per week). The ideal internship site has a technology staff member that the ITWorks student can shadow, provides enough work to occupy the student's time, and includes the student in as many different projects as possible to broaden the student’s view of the IT workplace.

Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable volunteer driver in Pahrump, Nevada to assist seniors and adults with disabilities by transporting them to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and essential errands. Transportation will be provided using an RSVP fleet vehicle. The driver must be comfortable making trips to the Las Vegas area as needed.

Flexible hours Monday through Friday; scheduling will be based on volunteer availability and client needs.

Minimum Age: 25 (must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check and drug screening)

As a Graffiti Artist for Dunk4Dreams, you will design and
create impactful, urban-inspired artwork that visually
represents the spirit, mission, and energy of our youth
programs. Your artwork will be used in murals, event

visual identity and inspire the community. Ultimately, your
creative expression will serve as a visual symbol of hope,

Responsibilities
• Conceptualize and produce graffiti and street-style
artwork for murals, community spaces, and digital

Casa de Luz offers tutoring for elementary, middle, and high school students in our neighborhoods. Most of our students are chronically absent and have missed instruction in school. Casa’s tutoring program focuses on helping students with reading, homework, and education advocacy.

Our three youth drop-in centers are open five days a week. The teens have access to hygiene products and food that is available discreetly. They do not need permission to access these products, and they are available anytime, no questions asked. They have a daily Bible study and go on many outings, including a summer camp and mission trips.

We have a paid internship for teens in the neighborhood that give them job skills and support them in transitioning to a job in the community. We also provide college scholarships to our young adults. These programs invest in their futures and build hope.

Books & Buddies is a reading program developed to improve literacy skills by partnering students with volunteer mentors acting as reading companions. No experience is necessary.

Books & Buddies is a minimum one-hour weekly commitment throughout the school year. We understand that absences for various reasons will occur, but as much consistency as possible is the goal. Books & Buddies Mentor Centers operate Monday - Thursday during school hours and will be located in 5 Title 1 schools throughout the valley during the 2025/2026 school year. 

A one-and-a-half-hour orientation and a background check (STWN covers the cost) is required to participate in the program.

Using your own vehicle and a scheduled route, this shift allows you to deliver a week’s worth of fresh and nutritious groceries directly to clients’ doorsteps who are unable to leave their residence. Each route takes 1.5-3 hours, depending on the location, and consists of 8-12 deliveries. 

Volunteers typically arrive around 8:30am, but we are flexible with your schedule. ***Please let us know ahead of time if you plan to arrive later than 9:30am, so that we know the route will be covered. All groceries must be picked up from our warehouse no later than 11am.

You MUST have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a vehicle. ***We will make a copy of your driver's license and proof of insurance to have on record for insurance purposes.

Place books into the hands of children to positively impact their lives with the magic of reading! Spread the Word Nevada relies on the generous support of individuals, local businesses, and organizations to provide books to students in Nevada who can’t afford their own. These books inspire children to read and help them succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.  

New and gently used books are welcome. Children’s books from PreK to 5th grade are preferred, however, we will accept most books. The only books we do not accept are encyclopedias, coloring books/workbooks, and books in other languages besides English or Spanish.
