Volunteering to donate blood at Vitalant is one important way to join our lifesaving team, but we also offer other volunteer opportunities that make a difference in your community.
Volunteer opportunities at Vitalant vary by region, but the impact is the same – your actions save lives by helping patients get the blood they need.
Blood Drive Volunteer
Responsibilities may include:
- Welcome and check-in donors
- Explain the donation process and answer any questions
- Manage donor flow
- Provide courteous communication and assistance to donors and staff
- Assist with set up and help maintain cleanliness in Reception and Canteen/Hospitality areas
- Report possible adverse post-donation, physical reactions to staff
Applicants must be at least 16.
Ages 18 + must pass a background check!
All Volunteers must complete an individual onboarding process prior to volunteering.
