The Heart of the City Senior Meal Program provides hot, nutritious meals for free to seniors 60+ at two locations every weekday.
Currently, the Living Hope Lutheran Church senior meal location is in need of volunteers to assist with the meal Monday – Friday from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Senior Meal volunteers do not have to cook, but instead help distribute preprepared meals, sign in senior clients, and help register new senior meal clients. The meal is currently offered to-go, or seniors are able to stay in and dine in a socially-distanced manner. Volunteers for this opportunity will need a health card and to complete special training, but they can help with that!
