WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Whether you're a seasoned videographer, an experienced vlogger with a ring light and mini-mics, or just someone who can piece together a decent video, Project REAL needs your help! We’re not looking for Hollywood production—just something watchable (think late-night public access quality or better).
WHAT WE'RE DOING
Project REAL is gearing up for our fifth year of turning National Law Day into a statewide Youth Law Awareness initiative, and we’re looking to grow its reach exponentially. To do that, we need to train attorneys to lead REALReady conversations—interactive sessions that help students in grades 5-8 think within the law, pause before they prank, and ask themselves "Is it worth the risk?" before making choices that could have real legal consequences.
WHAT WE NEED
We're looking for a volunteer videographer to record a REALReady session featuring 15-20 students in grades 4-8. The footage will be used to create a training video to help prepare attorneys to confidently lead classroom discussions.
- No need for pro-level production—just clear audio, steady video, and something that’s engaging to watch.
- The video will help hundreds of attorney volunteers deliver consistent, effective REALReady talks across Nevada between May 1-7.
- This is an urgent need! If you can film, edit, and deliver something decent, we want to hear from you.
EVENT DATES / ADDITIONAL INFO
As we work on getting the 20-30 young participants needed to create the training feature, we have put three dates out:
- Friday, March 21 (12pm - 5pm... specific time TBD)
- Saturday, March 29 (2pm - 3:30pm)
- Friday, April 4 (4:00 - 5:30pm)
If one or all of these work for you, please reach out.
Ideal Candidate:
- Comfortable filming live events, classrooms, or interviews.
- Can ensure clear video and audio in a dynamic setting.
- Willing to work with kids and respect privacy considerations.
- (Preferred) Has basic equipment for recording and audio capture.
Interested? We’d love to work with you! Contact Mike Kamer, Executive Director of Project REAL, at mkamer@projectrealnv.org for more details.
