Description

Volunteers are asked to help do some heavy lifting, moving items from room to room, bending over to pick up light to heavy objects, as well as the potential for unloading/loading from a truck. Long periods of standing. Long distances of walking. Some tasks may even require long periods of sitting. This volunteer opportunity is at the World Market Center, and as a team, we will be helping to set up vendors, direct guest foot traffic, help check guests in and out and then help tear down at the end.

Saturday, May 6, 2023, will consist of various shifts from as early as 7 AM and as late as 7 PM.

Volunteers will be asked to help various vendor booths get settled in before the doors open to the public. Volunteers may be tasked with checking in guests, giving directions to guests, assisting booths with directions and crowd control, assisting the LVNHM booth with tasks and crowd control, breaking down, and loading out of booths at the end of the event.

The final schedule is to be determined closer to May. The Las Vegas Natural History Museum Volunteer Coordinator will email an exact schedule for these dates. Volunteers are NOT expected to work the full 11-hour shift- the schedules will vary.  This is to give everyone the heads up that the opportunity could start early and end late.
