Volunteer Opportunities From: United Way of Southern Nevada Volunteer Connect

Volunteer: Fay Herron Elementary School comes to Betty's JA BizTown!

JA's BizTown, created by Junior Achievement, is an engaging program that immerses elementary and middle school students in a simulated mini-economy. Students take on roles as employees and consumers, making financial literacy, teamwork, and civic responsibility fun. Through hands-on activities, they gain practical insights into business operations and essential skills for future involvement, blending learning with play!

A BizTown volunteer mentors and guides students through a simulated economy experience, helping them perform job roles, manage finances, and learn real-world skills like teamwork and problem-solving. They facilitate the day’s activities, offer feedback, and ensure students stay on task while creating a fun and engaging learning environment. Volunteers play a key role in helping students understand business concepts and develop important life skills.
