SafeNest accomplishes its mission and vision through a comprehensive, trauma-informed continuum of care that addresses both the immediate safety and long-term stability of survivors. The organization provides 24/7 crisis intervention through its hotline and emergency shelters, ensuring individuals and families have a safe place to turn in moments of danger. Through legal advocacy, SafeNest helps survivors navigate the justice system and secure protective orders, while licensed counseling and therapeutic programs such as Camp HOPE and Pathways to Hope support healing for both adults and children impacted by violence.
To promote long-term independence, SafeNest offers transitional housing, workforce development, and financial empowerment programs that equip survivors with the tools needed to rebuild their lives. The organization also leads prevention and education efforts across the community, working in schools and with partners to stop violence before it begins. Through strong collaboration with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and social service agencies, including PS 417, SafeNest ensures a coordinated, survivor-centered response. This work is further advanced through the development of an Affiliated One Safe Place, a centralized campus designed to bring critical services together under one roof, reducing barriers and creating a seamless path to safety, healing, and hope.
