Who We Are
The Filipino Veterans Group (501c4) and the US Filipino Veterans Group (501c3) are same organization with same mission, members and officers but with separate tax identification numbers. We have over 400 members. Our mission is to provide veterans and their families information about current benefits, assist them achieve financial stability to improve their quality of life and to advocate on behalf of veterans, their dependents and beneficiaries.
What We Do
We offer the following services:
- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE)
- Scholarships grants thru the Public Education Foundation and in the Philippines
- Presentation of the Congressional Gold Medal to honor Filipino and Filipino-American World War II veterans or to the next of kin
- provide financial assistance to the Nellis First Segreant Council
- collaborates with other veterans organizations on special events during memorial Day, 4th of July, September 11th and Veterans' Day
- support the weekly memorial services for unaccompanied veterans at the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery
- provide adult financial literacy to its members and the community and assist funeral arrangement for it members upon request
- partner with other non-profit organizations in providing charitable services such as food drive, consular outreach, medical assistance, sports activities, and others.
