Who We Are

FEAT of Southern Nevada (Families for Effective Autism Treatment) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 by families determined to create better support for their loved ones. Built by families—for families—FEAT remains a trusted community resource for anyone affected by autism.

Our mission is to provide education, advocacy, and support for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families, helping them access the services they need to thrive.

Each year, FEAT assists more than 9,000 individuals across Southern Nevada, offering guidance, connection, and hope through workshops, inclusive programs, community events, assistive technology devices, and individualized and appropriate support. Whether an individual and/or family is navigating a new diagnosis or seeking a supportive network, FEAT supports them to walk alongside you. Because no one should ever feel alone on their autism journey.

What We Do

At FEAT, we believe that every family impacted by autism deserves support, relief, and an inclusive community life without financial burden. That’s why all of our services are offered completely free of cost to individuals and families.

What makes FEAT unique is that it is operated by just two dedicated staff members, the Executive Director and Program Manager. All events, activities, and trainings that FEAT offers are made possible by a passionate army of volunteers.

FEAT provides:

Direct Support & Navigation: Helping individuals and their caregivers access autism evaluations, therapies, educational supports, and adult transition services.

Culturally Responsive Training: Offering workshops in English and Spanish that empower individuals/parents/caregivers to become strong advocates.

Inclusive Programs: Through our Spectrum Connects Friendship initiative, we create safe, supportive spaces where autistic individuals can build friendships, life skills, and confidence.

Respite Program: Parents Night Out is not only for individuals with autism but also for their siblings, designed to give caregivers a well-deserved break while ensuring their loved ones are in a safe, supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Community Collaboration: Partnering with schools, state-federal agencies, and health providers to ensure coordinated care and access to essential resources.

Awareness & Advocacy: Raising autism understanding and reducing stigma through outreach, events, and public education.

Despite our small staff size, our impact is large, thanks to generous volunteers and supporters who believe in inclusion, connection, and opportunity for every autistic individual.
