Who We Are
Women of Strength Nevada is a transitional living facility that supports homeless pregnant women and children and a food distribution center that supports food insecure individuals and families in Southern Nevada.
What We Do
Women of Strength Nevada is a transitional living facility that supports homeless pregnant women and children from the age of 14 through 24 years in Las Vegas, Nevada and surrounding communities. Women of Strength Nevada provides a safe, structured, secure, and nurturing environment for up to 24 months for them to achieve self-sufficiency. Our goal is to not only provide transitional housing to relieve a crisis, but to transform the lives of those we serve. After successful completion of the program, participants will have secured employment, a permanent place of residence, childcare, and continued healthcare while continuing working on their individualized life path goals. Women of Strength Nevada provides case management to include screening, assessment, risk stratification, planning, care coordination, monitoring, transitioning, and evaluation assessed by a Clinical Supervisor and physician(s). Educational services will support those who have not completed high school and continued education into 2-4-year college or vocational training. Treatment for mental and behavioral health, domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual abuse. In house workshops of Life Skills, Financial Management and Budgeting, Readiness for the Workplace, Parenting and Birthing, and Nutrition. Medical care for both participant and family through Nevada Medicaid. Childcare procurement through Nevada Child Fund, assistance with securing employment, permanent housing, and other community resources. The program currently serves more than 80,000 underserved food insecure families and individuals in Clark County with food and other essentials through our food pantry distribution center.
