Casa De Luz

Casa de Luz has helped countless families in the Las Vegas neighborhoods: Naked City, Sherwood Forest, and Paradise Flamingo. We are a faith-based community resource center embedded in the areas we serve. These neighborhoods are known for hardship, struggle, and even darkness. We bring light, love, and hope by providing the resources and support they need to transform their lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Casa does this through after-school programs for children and supportive services and resources for the entire family. Through these programs, we hope to create happier, healthier, and more productive neighborhoods and break the cycle of crime, poverty, and abuse.

Casa’s Naked City Hub provides resources for all three neighborhoods that create stability. We also provide “hand-ups” with wrap around services. Here's a glimpse of everything provided at the Naked City Hub:

Food Pantry: Nourishing families & ensuring no one goes hungry.

Case Management: Empowering individuals with personalized guidance.

Primary Medical Care: Making quality healthcare accessible to all.

Children's Dental: Promoting healthy smiles for our littlest ones.

Diaper & Hygiene Bank: Supplying essentials for babies and families.

NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH

Our team hits the streets daily to connect with neighbors. We knock on doors, check in, drop off food, and share updates on Casa de Luz. The more we visit, the more they reach out when life gets real - we've got their backs through it all. They also invite us to celebrate with them! Casa hosts events year-round so our families can deepen bonds and feel connected to the community. 

PROGRAMS THAT CREATE TRANSFORMATION

TUTORING & YOUTH DROP-IN/MENTORSHIP

Casa provides a safe place for kids to learn, heal, and grow with caring adults. Casa offer programs 6 days a week - from Bible study to outings, camps, and mission trips.

Recognizing literacy challenges due to trauma and missed school, Casa's tutoring helps kids catch up academically. They also have a teen drop-in center offering mentorship, college scholarships, student internships, and pathways to success.

Beyond just programs, Casa invests in the youths' futures and instills hope. Many teens and young adults even return to volunteer, continuing the cycle of community support.

FAMILY SUPPORT

Casa offers holistic support for parents who lacked strong support growing up. We provide career, educational, and parenting resources to build resilient families. We cultivate a caring community where parents can share wisdom and find guidance. Together, we ensure parents don't have to go it alone.
