Who We Are

Las Vegas community came together to build a community healing garden in response to the Oct. 1, 2017 tragedy, when a lone gunman killed 58 people, injuring more than 800 with 22,000 attendees at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. The garden was constructed by the city and volunteers in just four days. Hundreds of volunteers brought the plan to life, and the garden was officially opened on Oct. 6, 2017. Today the Las Vegas Healing Garden features: • Oak Tree of Life in the heart shape planter. • 58 Trees representing those lives that were lost that night. • Pictured trellis serving as a place for visitors to place tokens of remembrance. • 1,278 Tiles made by victims’ families, survivors from all over the world and the community. • Butterfly art piece representing all survivors who have passed from injuries, suicide PTSD, car & motorcycle accidents and all those effected by the RT 91Concert. • Walls of Remembrance & Water Feature. • Painted rocks with words of encouragement, loss and strength. • Walkways, benches, windchimes, shrubs & flowers. Created out of tragedy, the LV Community Healing Garden has become a beacon of hope for so many in the valley and beyond. Las Vegas Community Healing Garden is located at 1015 S. Casino Center Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89101. For questions or comments about the Garden, please contact the Office of Cultural Affairs at 702-229-ARTS (2787) or ArtsLasVegas@lasvegasnevada.gov.
