Dress for Success (DFS) Southern Nevada is the affiliate of the leading global organization Dress for Success. Since 2009 we’ve assisted over 10,000 women in the Las Vegas valley in their journey to self-sufficiency.

Our mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.                                                             

Our Purpose & Services

“we are about much more than simply a new outfit”

Our purpose is to offer long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty. Dress for Success is part of a global movement for change, empowering women to obtain safer and better futures.

We serve women in the Las Vegas valley who are 16 years of age and above, are unemployed, underemployed or socio-economically disadvantaged. We provide each client with professional attire to secure employment, but we are about much more than simply a new outfit. Besides physically equipping the client with apparel and accessories, our programs furnish her with a confidence that she carries forever and the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the direction she takes and what success means to her. Some of our Beyond the Suit programs include:

• Career Center: The Career Center provides digital access, an internet-accessible computer lab, working space (internet, computers/laptops, printer) to assist with job search, resume and cover-letter, interview preparation, virtual and in-person mock interviews. In addition, we provide our clients with professional career coaches, one-on-one support tailored to their individual needs and goals. 
• Grow with Google: Workshops and tools in partnership with Google to help digitally upskill our clients.
• Power Hour/Power Lunch, Professional Women’s Group: a monthly forum for networking, skill-building workshop/webinars, sharing and education. Guest speakers address subjects such as financial literacy, stress management, workplace communication, entrepreneurship, health and wellness, debt counseling, childcare, and affordable housing. Our workshops are designed to help women with job retention, as well as to help them stay motivated during the job search process and job ready.
• Mentoring Program: Provides professional role models, group and one-on-one mentoring, to help women identify a career pathway opportunities, career progression, advancement and design their career success.

 Working Together

We work together with leading partners like United Way of Southern Nevada, referral agencies, volunteers and companies across the Las Vegas valley to make a big impact in women’s lives. By supporting each other, we can reach a greater number of women and make our vision a reality.
